Easy Last-Minute 4th of July Recipe

As the 4th of July approaches, the excitement for festive celebrations, spending the whole day in the water and good food is in the air! If you're looking for a simple, last-minute recipe that will impress your guests and is easy to prepare, we've got you covered. Our patriotic fruit skewers, made with blackberries, strawberries, and marshmallows, are the perfect addition to your Independence Day festivities.

Ingredients:

  • Fresh strawberries
  • Marshmallows
  • Blackberries or blueberries
  • Skewer sticks

Making these festive fruit skewers is so easy and who can say no to fruit on a warm day! All you need is a charcuterie board or serving place to arrange your blackberries, strawberries, and marshmallow skewers on.

Wash and dry the berries. Remove strawberry stems and slice.

Thread a strawberry, then a marshmallow onto a skewer. Repeat until the skewer is filled, leaving space at the top. Use blackberries or blueberries on half the skewers.

As you work, arrange the completed skewers on the board to form a pattern resembling the American flag. Use the blackberries to represent the stars, while the strawberries and marshmallows alternate as the red and white stripes.

We hope you're spending your 4th of July at the lake, by the pool, or exploring a new hiking trail. Throw on your Nani Swimsuit and you’re ready for whatever the day has in store!
