I got an extra small that fits great. I got a small in the a same style bottoms just different pattern and they fit big with noticeable extra fabric. I have got smalls in the past that fit but this style/pattern I feel worked better going down a size plus it will stretch in the water so I feel very secure for any activity in the size I got.
